Winter Photo Tour Japan
From Jan. 31 to Febr.16 I will have the pleasure and privilege to spend again time in Japan on a similar tour as in 2017. Therefore on the list are again the snow monkeys in the Nagano district and after flying North East to the Hokkaido insula I will photograph the popular red-crowned Japanese cranes, whooper swans, Japanese red foxes and in the bay of Rausu Steller’s Sea eagle and white-tailed eagles and the landscape Of course I am looking forward to meet real winter cond

New Musk Ox Pictures online
4th-8th Dec 2018 I have spend a few days in the Dovrefjiell National Parc, Norway to photograph musk ox during winter conditions. However, there was a lot of ice on the tundra and not a lot of snow what made the conditions for hiking rather difficult. Our guide Sigbjorn was great and of course essential for the success of this adventure. Musk Ox Photography in Norway
It has been a great experience to hike in the tundra and on the mountain slopes in search of these prehistoric animals and to be finally rewarded. The weather offered rain and snow and some winds and it became sometimes quite cold so many layers were requiered to feel quite comfortable. Floris Smeets was a great guide, extremely knowledgable about the area, its ecosystem and about our main subject: the musk ox. It was wild animal photography in the pure sense and very rewardi
