It has been a great experience to hike in the tundra and on the mountain slopes in search of these prehistoric animals and to be finally rewarded. The weather offered rain and snow and some winds and it became sometimes quite cold so many layers were requiered to feel quite comfortable. Floris Smeets was a great guide, extremely knowledgable about the area, its ecosystem and about our main subject: the musk ox.
